Career
Cristina Prieto holds a Law degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2008) and a Master’s Degree in Labour Sciences from the same university (2009). She also completed a specialized course on expatriate employees at the Centro de Estudios Financieros (2015). During her academic career, she was awarded the Community of Madrid Academic Excellence Scholarship and received the Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award in Labour Sciences.
She joined Abdón Pedrajas in 2009 and, in 2014, further developed her language skills during a one-year residence in Cambridge. Since then, she has gained extensive experience advising companies on employment law matters.
Her practice primarily focuses on advising foreign companies with operations in Spain or entering the Spanish market, as well as Spanish companies with international parent companies, covering all substantive aspects of employment relationships, with particular emphasis on hiring and disciplinary procedures. She also advises on individual and collective processes involving substantial changes to working conditions, negotiation strategies, and trade union election processes.
He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and frequently participates as a speaker at conferences and specialized seminars.
